Grok Bot starts connecting to phone calendars, reminders and contacts
The official Bot account says access to phone apps is rolling out on iOS and Android. The announcement names Calendar, Reminders and Contacts without detailing every supported action.

THE STORY IN THREE POINTS
- Grok Bot announced access to Calendar, Reminders, Contacts and other phone apps.
- The feature is rolling out on iOS and Android; the post does not promise immediate access for every user.
- The official artwork depicts separate permission controls for phone apps; full action coverage is not detailed in the post.
Phone apps join the agent’s toolkit
The official Grok Bot account announced that its agent can use Calendar, Reminders, Contacts and more applications on a user’s phone. The post, published on October 22 UTC and October 23 in Singapore, says the feature is rolling out on both iOS and Android.
The accompanying official artwork shows separate Allow controls for Messages, Location, Calendar, Home, Reminders and Contacts. Its labels illustrate viewing and adding calendar events, setting and checking reminders, and finding and adding contacts. These are capabilities depicted by the publisher, rather than results from our own testing.
The mobile app already shares work with desktop
The official mobile guide describes an app connected to the same Bots, conversations, routines and shared cloud computer used on desktop. It says cloud work continues after the mobile app closes. Users can send messages, review results and respond to approval requests away from a desk.
That guide lists iOS 18 or later and Android 9 or later, along with an eligible paid plan and an internet connection. Its page is dated October 17, before this announcement. It establishes the existing mobile requirements, rather than confirming every detail of the new phone-app connections.
What the rollout statement establishes
Naming both operating systems establishes the intended platform reach. It does not establish that every account already has the feature or that Calendar, Reminders and Contacts expose identical controls on each platform. We have not independently tested the integrations.
The mobile guide’s statement about continuing cloud work also does not establish that every new phone-app operation works while the device is offline. Availability, device permissions and the particular task need to be checked together.
Editorial context: check the actual calendar entry
Connecting an assistant to everyday planning tools could reduce the effort of turning a conversation into an organized task. A useful trial would check the actual result: the selected calendar, time zone, reminder time and contact identity, rather than only the agent’s message that it finished.
That distinction matters when names repeat or a request includes an ambiguous date. Before handing over a more involved workflow, a user could try a simple, reversible task and compare the result in the original app. This is an evaluation approach, not a claim that all of these operations are already supported.
